Composimo Tidy Tail and Tyga carbon fiber exhaust installed

I got both my Tyga carbon fiber slip-on and Composimo Tidy Tail kit yesterday evening. Upon opening and inspecting, both were obviously top-notch quality. Composimo definitely used the right stuff on this, and for the Tyga muffler, WOW is this thing light and compact!
My only gripe about the TT on first inspection was that the powder coat was missing where it didn't get sprayed below a couple of the bends, but it's not visible when mounted, and it is stainless steel, so it's all good.

Now the bad news about the TT...

It was immediately obvious that there is NO WAY the stock indicators will work with this fender eliminator kit if the stock muffler is used. Fortunately, I had anticipated this and ordered my exhaust, even though the description of the TT kit says it would work. Not only this, but with the way the license plate light screws into the TT bracket there is, again, NO WAY that the turn signals can be properly fitted into the bracket...short of breaking out the dremel. (Which I still would not consider "proper") SOOOOOO, I opted to use the rear holes only out of the two for each indicator, and it bolted up OKAY. I must say I'm pretty disappointed about that though, because I'm OCD about that kind of stuff :-/ No one will notice, but I know it's like that, ya know?

All in all ~2 hours start to finish, including all of the "WHY DOESN'T THIS FIT CORRECTLY!?!?" time, to take off the stock parts and put on the new.

    First ride impressions:

    Tyga Exhaust

LOOUUDDDDDD!!! Sounds like a racing dirtbike when you get into the revs, which I expected. (It IS only a 125 after all) But that said, I like it a lot! Deep, Throaty, and MUCH more responsive than stock! I only got to ride it about 5 miles with the new parts as it was getting late, but I could immediately tell a difference. Definitely freed up the revs! Not to mention the 15 pounds of muffler, brackets, fender, and nuts/bolts removed.

    Composimo Tidy Tail:

Looks ten thousand times better. That's really all there is to say about it past the comments above. I got a little bit of spray on my back from riding through a little bit of water, (Darn sprinkler systems ) but I DID just take off the fender, right? Nothing that can't be handled by going through more slowly and clearing the tires before getting up to speed again.

    ONE MORE THING:

May or may not turn into a big deal - only time will tell. The exhaust comes directly out onto the right turn signal! It was definitely starting to get pretty hot after a little ride. I sure hope it doesn't melt. :-(

Does anyone know of an integrated tail light/turn signal for the Grom yet? that would be the ideal solution for all of these issues with the TT bracket, and would look awesome for sure.

And yes, I did do this in the kitchen! Didn't get any close up pics since I didn't plan on making this post...but I can later on and upload them.

    Grom on!

I was looking forward to using the tidy tail, but if the blinkers don't fit with existing muffler I might wait. Or get the blinkers Composimo has. Bummer.

Composimo said he is going to make a new one and as long as you haven't mounted the one you have he will exchange it.

Suhweet. It looks really good regardless. I just wasn't planning on switching out the exhaust yet (or maybe ever) as it is one of the more expensive upgrades.

Here is a link to the lights that will fit (if you want to buy some lights stocked in the USA). They are DOT approved as well. See post #57.
