Picked up my 19’ Red Abs Monkey end of January 2019 #0432
Pretty cool to see 0 miles on the odometer.
Cold with snow on the ground for the next month or two so plenty of time to let the modding begin.

Always a good day when you come home to see a nice @mnnthbx package waiting on your doorstep. Thanks for the quick shipping guys.
Let the fun begin.
#mnnthbx
Spent the afternoon working on the bike.
As others have stated the guys over at mnnthbx are awesome and crank out some quality stuff. The fit, finish and function of the stuff I got below is what makes working on these small bikes fun.
I ordered the front turn signal kit w/ Rizoma’s, their Monkey Tail classic again with the Rizoma’s, license plate mount w/led plate bolts, led relay replacement and the quick release seat caps.
The hype is real with the Rizoma’s. With how small they are it’s unreal how bright they are.
Started the project off by changing out the relay for the turn signal flash. The relay is located under the fuel tan, right on the top spine of the frame. Thanks to fletcher and Bucknut who provided tips on getting the tank off.
I removed the tank bolt and two black lines on either side of the tank. I then was able to gently slide the tank towards the rear enough to get to the flasher relay. I put a wood block under the tank to steady it. I did not remove the wire harness plug or third fuel line. Their was enough slack to leave theses attached. I also removed the air box covers to give a little extra room on each side.
Next up were the new front signal mounts and Rizoma’s. Three bolts on each turn signal and they come off. Remove two screws on the headlight chrome trim ring and the then the adjustment screw under the headlight. Gentle pull the light out and disconnect the harness. Not much slack. Unplug the old signals and plug in the new. Reassemble.
Crazy the difference that this makes. Changes the appearance drastically.

Onto the rear.
Removed the stock license plate mount and rear brake light/turn signal pod. Everything just un screws and comes off pretty easy and quick. Once removed you have access to all of the wiring. Put together the new rear pod with the all In one Rizoma’s. Took my time with all of this. Put in some positaps, soldered some wires and cleaned everything up with heat shrink. Reassembled with the new plate mount and led plate bolts.
This is considered the mnnthbx “classic” tail light option w/ their plate mount that gets rid of the big plastic piece. Very happy with the new look and slimmer profile.

Really hard to photograph how bright and great everything looks
And finally the quick release sets caps.
Easy install and look great. A lot quicker to get the seat off and fills in the hole in the frame. Uses your ignition key to screw/unscrew. These screw in very easy and don’t put any stress on the key.
Successful day!
Looks great! Thanks for posting.

Looks good. Now get the heat gun out and take all of those warning labels off. It will add a couple horsepower.

Ha ha.... I must have had tunnel vision when installing everything over the weekend because I didn’t even realize the stickers were still on. And then when I was posting the pictures they caught my eye right away.
It will give me something to do this weekend while I wait for the next batch of parts to come.
Nothing too exciting to report other than a few boxes showed up this week.
Got in some driven tappet covers, new rear shocks and picked up a cheap swing arm stand. Haven’t had a chance to bolt any of the stuff on, but hope to this coming week.
Waiting on a few things to be released to place another larger order... ie intake, exhaust.

Had a few hours this evening to bolt on the tappet covers and rear shocks.
The driven covers are a nice little accent piece. I’ll probably add a few of their engine plugs and possibly the front sprocket cover.
Replacing the rear shocks made a huge difference. Only took it for a quick rip around the block, but feels much better. No more bottoming out, and nice to have adjustability.
Stockers were much too soft.
