I think you will need passenger springs to go with the passenger pegs!

Lol. Yeah, and you better get some upgraded brakes as well. Although this little bike is cool as hell it just isn't made to carry two people.

Not true, Monkey has exact same braking system as the Grom which comes with passenger pegs. It is nice to have the option to throw your chick on the back and cruise around for a bit. Problem is there is not much room on the stock seat.

I found some Thailand ones on eBay that look pretty slick:

I think I prefer the look of these, and that is just personal opinion. I do think it is ok for just putting around a little bit with a passenger, but it does require more care as it always does on a motorcycles, and especially so on a small bike like our Monkey. I like the upgrade suggestion as to the rear shocks if it is to be done with any frequency. My two cents!

I'd strongly urge against that if you care about your passenger. Honda is recalling all racks and not replacing them due to breakage. I'm guessing people are sitting on them which is causing the issue as they look strong enough for a typical load you'd put on a Monkey.

Do you think the grom rearsets would work on the bike. I am sitting here in my office and thinking it might work.

I know the Monkey sets work on the Grom with slight modifications. I know Tooter has put them on his bike. He can probably shed a little more light on this for you. He might be willing to send you his Grom rearsets to see if you can make them work.
