How do you best jack up the front to remove the forks?

    Hi,

I need to remove the front forks from my monkey to install a fork spring kit. I have a rear and front paddock stand but the front is one that hooks under the forks so can't use that one now. Is there a way to use a car jack? Can you put that underneath the engine (crankcase or cylinder) to raise the front? Or will that damage the engine or won't the bike be balanced enough?

There is not much room to use something on the bottom fork bridge as there are all connectors for the abs connection of the brake lines.

Do you have exposed overhead rafters or beams in a garage?

Eye lag screws work great too if you dont have any exposed beams.

I used a ladder and some straps to lift my front end up to work on the front wheel.
