I know psd sells a harness to fix the cold start issue that occurs with the finbro ecu...but does anyone know if it works with the sf? Can't seem to find anything about it
You just have to change around some pins for the USA harness. You also should have gotten a larger Fuel hose and at lease a 6 hole F/I that Finbro sells.
Not knowing what BBK kit you have you can also change out the Finbro throttle body with the stock TB and use the idle circuit.
I have done enough testing with my Finbro 183 to know that you don't need the finbro bored throttle body that they sell if you got a 183 the inlet tube and plastic that is bored out is good to used on the OEM throttle body.
Stock bore with full exhaust and intake. Bike just doesn't want to run for shit until I let it sit and get up to temperature. Psd sells a harness that gives power to the cold start solenoid via a switch but I'm not sure if it will work with the sf because of the difference in wiring
Nd4 I did see that thread and am aware of what happened haha I guess I could have posted in there specifically. (Oops) maybe I'll have to dig up a diagram of the sf wiring and compare to the og grom

If you find a decent quality one, post it pls. Tripage posted one, but it was a picture of it, so the quality was less that optimum. If you don't find that one, or a decent one today, ill post mine when im home from work.
Naw keep this thread going, we shall sort out my cold starting fix for the finbro ecu on the SF grom on here! I have a feeling the injector pin is the same on both OG grom SF grom and finbro ecu's
Well now that I think about it the finbro rep emailed me install Instructions for the ecu for the sf and he had me unplug the fast idle solenoid. Said the bike won't even hold an idle if it's plugged in. So I don't know if that's going to effect what we're trying to accomplish here
I've been running the PSD cold start fix on several different bikes this winter. Soon to be an SF as well, just waiting on the harness. So far the cold start fix has been great. The bikes I install a koso camshaft on typically NEED the cold start fix. The bikes I just do intake/exhaust on I haven't had the need to use the harness. It will help don't get me wrong, but typically a little fine tuning of the air screw and the idle screw (buy a thumb screw idle from steady garage, or F4i cable and cut it down) goes a long way.
I've been in contact with several people about this and I'll be getting the zero stunts harness through psd. When I receive it I'll get it all worked out and let everyone know the results. Btw psd and Zero have been awesome to talk to and have been helping me out with the matter. All the input and help from everyone here is much appreciated as well!
like stated all zero stunts did was copy my design. Im 99% sure the injector wire pin is the same on the SF but couldnt tell you for sure without a diagram thats legible.
Yup same on both, I used my stock harness when I installed my finbro and the pins I had to move were only for rpm reading and I believe power to the cluster.
instead of cutting the ecu pins off and splicing into the PSD harness, is there a female/male connection I could add to the PSD harness to utilize the OEM connectors? Im just not sure what it is... something like an HX .040 or something like that?
