My Finbro 183 has not been used for 2 weeks since the rainy season and I was riding my 170 grom, but riding it yesterday the 183 is running really strong and not sure why.
I did have to change out the piston and cylinder about 800 miles back since I burnt them due to lack of oil from the oil puking out the airbox.
The engine sounds stronger and is running really great and the only thing left to mod is installing the external oil cooler for the summer time and hotter weather coming.
yesterday run to Costco, had to get the Sony GTK-XB5 Bluetooth party speakers since it was marked down from $179 to $139 and I also got some lettuce, mayonnaise and a couple of king classic size MyPillow and a cooked rotisserie chicken.
I became a expert using the grom rear rack and nylon belt straps and my old waist tummy reducer rubber belt that has velcro for a securing the load and some good old bungee net.
My Oakley ski googles keeps wind from blowing in my eyes
I've been wearing that style of helmet ever since my GSXR-1100 Hayabusa days and even hit 200 mph lots of times with that style helmet.
Me and my 89 GSXR-1100
My Hayabusa with my new 2008 4x4 Tundra which I had to buy since I had to pick up my two Harleys in Mohave Valley Arizona after my divorce since the EX-wife sold our 4x4 T-100 truck and also sold the house that I owned down there in AZ
65,000 plus original miles on my first Hayabusa chain
My riding gear in Calif, the sea of cars part open when I'm splitting lanes on Hwy 101, 280, 680, 237,880 when I use to ride the Busa
gunsling the busa when troubleshooting the heat problem I was having with the busa, ended up being a thermostat
After riding years of dirt.... a full face helmet is the ONLY thing id ever consider being safe. Have fun with the facial reconstruction when you do get a facefull of asphalt.
America, wear what is with in reason, carry a big stick and don't piss off the bees cause they might sting you.
Hey Ride safe, and hope you don't go down.
all my accidents "2" have been cause by cages turning left in front of me or changing lanes into me while talking on a cell phone. Oh and one of the accident I sued the guy, 21 year old punk and won a $180,000 judgement.
its your face. if you dont think your going to wreck guess again. i went 24 years riding till it happened. hope you like eating thru a straw....
because id be doing just that if i didnt have this on in '15. your eright, its your choice. but dont expect sympathy if your jaw gets picked up by a vulture before the emts find it.
I rode street for 20 years before getting into dirt. That lasted 2 summers before I went back to street only haha. Never had an accident (knock on wood) on the street, 2nd summer I went down hard in the dirt and couldn't ride again for a solid 6 months. Fooked my left shoulder up a good one. Hats off to all that dirt riders!
Cisco hauls more cargo on his Grom that most people do with their lifted 4x4 F350's
laugh it up. when you do a face grind at 60 mph and get out of it as well as i did, we can talk. until then, dude, you're just being ignorant and have been lucky as hell. i seriously hope it never happens to you.
the yellow round mark is where it melted the yellow road line btw. buff out.... ffs.
Safety is always my main point. Working as mechanic i've seen couple guys with their face completely destroyed due to this kind of helmets... Won't happen to me... Or at least i will do all my effort to reduce the risk of it.
I can be the best rider ever, but i dont drive alone... Maybe the guy in front of me is drunk, maybe the girl behind is high, maybe the couple next are having a discussion and dont pay attention... Can happen any time.
It's not about you, it's about who surrounds you.
I will always wear full helmet, gloves, boots and leather jacket.
I honestly don't see the point of wearing that kind of helmets... But as said its my choice, its your choice.
Ride safe...
I have more friends killed riding with full face helmet.
Bottom line if it's your time and your Luck runs out so be it. Just go out and have fun
Like I said ride safe all, don't be a judge r, remember everyone dies except Jesus. Hawaiians have this thing called Kahuna, it is the spirit world a few know about it.
Just saying relax and enjoy life, not judging but putting out good info about building your grom. What and how you dress riding your grom, motorcycle or car is your choice if you want to be safe stay lock up in your house and don't leave, unless there's a fire or a threat to your life in your house.
Friends killed riding full face helmet...? Because of it? I dont get it cisco.
Why do professional riders in all disciplines wear full face helmets? Because they are safer
It's not about judging you, but you seem not to accept the fact that full face helmets are safer.
I want to ride, but i also want to have the safest equipment i can afford, so i can push my skill limits in the safest way...
Fact is full face helmets save more lives and trauma injuries than brain buckets... And there's no discussion about it.
If your choice is wearing a brain bucket because you want to, its ok, but facts are facts...
Riding on public street is like riding not knowing who is paying attention driving, life is all about Luck and when you are dead you are dead so enjoy life, I had enough shit and lessons in life from being in the service for 6 yrs active so danger is all around us.
This is America, if I want something I'll get it or buy it, it's my money to buy what I want.
When I vote I vote who I think is the best for my state or the country.
When I ride I help others on the road I don't judge what they ride or how they look or how they dress.
Go tell a HA how to dress or ride or any outlaw MC rider, you will get your ASS kicked good.
I'm the tame version of a outlaw MC rider just that I live my life and you should live yours and if you are out on the road broken down don't be surprise that I will stop to help you.
when i see the moto gp riders in open face helmets i'll agree.
we have no helmet law here in sc. I call it rolling Darwinism. You should see the damage no helmet or open face brain buckets do to people (have friends in health care).
You can enjoy your life but be responsible about it too. the thing is, its bad mojo to tell people its ok. Its not. its their choice but its an unsafe one. just like hauling transmissions around on the back of the bike and that ridiculous load you have posted up there. that shit ever comes off and you'll probably cause an accident to who's behind you. its amazing how smart, articulate people like yourself can advocate these things in a motorcycle forum.
I've done, and do my fair share of really stupid shit (but admittedly fun) on bikes but id never argue that any of it was a good idea.
Good gawd people, seriously. No offense, but I hate safety nazis. If that's how he prefers to ride, then let him ride. It's his ride, not yours. Are you all in full leathers every single time you ride? I highly doubt it.
hey, if somebody's going to advocate to do unsafe things in a forum where, in particular, there are a lot of young riders, yeah. it needs to be countered a bit.
like said im no angel but im not bragging about my bad choices either. but i do always wear full gear, sans leather pants most of the time. and it did bite me before.
Back when I worked at a m/c shop, we had a good customer get killed by taking a buzzard to the face at 70ish mph. Knocked him off the bike and the pavement got the rest of his head the buzzard missed. You can't control the unexpected, but you can prepare for it. I wear a full face helmet, if I need lots of vents I'll use an adventure style helmet with visor and peak/chin guard. My 2 cents. I've seen the aftermath too many times.
doesn't bother me one bit what you do actually. i had issue with implying it was ok as inexperienced riders may see it as safe. and the full face helmet killing people is just wrong. but hey, have at it.
In all internet forum we have opinions and disagreement and internet tough humans, in the end ride safe, All Lives matter
By the way a SP89Trumps a clock 9, EX-Navy, for those who don't know a SP89 is a civilian version of the MP5 used by our special forces and government agents
