    Angry BEWARE- Race Proven Motors

12-19-2016, via internet,I ordered (1) gauge pod single version. I received it and the bored hole for the Wide Band 2 gauge was to small for the gauge to fit into. I e-mailed the seller (Race Proven Motors) the bored hole i.d. dimensions of the gauge pod I received and I also included the o.d. dimensions of the Wide Band 2 gauge shell. I received no response, so just before the Christmas holidays I called (Mike) at Race Proven Motors and he confirmed my part was incorrectly machined and he would be sending me a good part right away however there could be a delay due to the holidays. January 9 2017, I had not received a new part nor able to make contact by phone to (Mike) at Race Proven Motors. January 9 2017 I shipped the bad part back to (Mike) at Race Proven Motors via USPS with a note pertaining to our phone conversation and he agreeing to replace my defective part or please issue a complete refund for the part and my return shipping. USPS tracking info shows the package was delivered to Race Proven Motors. On January 14 2017 @12:16 PM. To this day I have had no response from (Mike)@ Race Proven Motors nor a credit for $70.00 back to my credit card account for the defective part .
So, Buyers beware of the poor customer service from (Mike) @ Race Proven Motors. that's my purchase experience and i'm out $70.00

I think cisco has an extra single pod mount, if you wanted.

Have you tried a follow up call after you mailed the part back?

From Texas. Lived in Southern California for a bit. Currently in Central Florida.
The gauge bracket I have from them was too small ID and the bolt holes were spaced incorrectly. I used a dremel with a sander to increase the size of the gauge hole and jury rigged the rest. It's pretty ghetto. For the price I was not favorably impressed. Finish was nice, though!

Never had any problem with their hardware, in fact I sort of gave them some hint to have the voltage/temp gauge also included with their bracket and brain stormed on how the button should be mounted to switch between voltage and temp.

My old single gen RPM bracket

newer setup with both gauges, I sent my Temp/Voltage meter to RPM so they could do some test fit and now the public has the option to buy either design.

I would recommend that when ordering any hardware from any vendor on here or some where else if you have concerns about fit call them up and also record your call and if you call to vendors in Calif and decide to record the call make sure to let them know because it is the law to inform people you are talking to in Calif that the person is recorded.

Make sure to tell the vendor if you are using stock handle bar setup or bigger chubby bars since the mounting machine work might be different and also if you have mod your handle bars to those clip on setup.

Anyway wishing the best to solve the problem the buyer is having.

I had 2 of the brackets for sale and AlanS bought one of them and the other one I still have which is in stock bare metal color. Wow $70 for those units now, must be painted or powder coated.

    Ride safe all
