as i was looking for a convenient method to charge my phone while riding, i browsed options and came across a kit from bikemaster.
BikeMaster
i mounted the charger along with my phone mount (ram x-grip) over the weekend and overall it's great. this setup will probably only work with the oem bars though.
the charger is located below the phone. it's located here to keep the cable as short as possible.
the charger has a very good seal
dual ports 5V @ 2A. for android users, this charger (using a proper cable) will charge your phone at AC speed.
better view of the handle bar mount.
on a side note, i wired the charger to a switched 12v fused source. if not, the charger will drain the battery as it has a blue indicator light to signify the charger is on. as i just did a hid retro, i am using the relay (white square) which is triggered by a tail light. the relay is time delayed to allow time to start the grom before it's triggered. as i'm sharing the same power source with my hid retro, i installed a fuse block (blue square) to use proper fuse ratings for the hid ballast and charger.
